Veteran Foundation staff attorney Aaron Solem testified before the House Education & Workforce Committee in May on the Biden National Labor Relations Board’s (NLRB) plan to make it even harder for independent-minded workers to exercise their right to vote out union bosses they don’t want.

Solem, who represents Starbucks workers who are fighting union boss maneuvers and biased NLRB standards to vote out the so-called Starbucks Workers United (SBWU) union, also warns of the dangers Starbucks workers have faced regarding “salting” – union officials’ shady practice of paying union agents to stir up unionization efforts at workplaces under the guise of being regular employees.
