Dear Foundation Supporter:

Do you ever wonder what union bosses would do if they seized total political power?

     Just look at California.

With top state officials like Governor Gray Davis eager to herd employees into compulsory unionism arrangements, it's open season for union bosses to grab every legal privilege they can.

As usual, the big losers are ordinary workers, consumers, and taxpayers. They get sold down the river by politicians who receive a rich payoff in union campaign cash.

But Foundation attorneys are fighting back. Let me give you just one example out of more than 50 active Foundation cases in California right now.

With your support, they've filed a huge class-action lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of a new law that hands Big Labor $45 million in forced dues seized from the paychecks of 75,000 employees of California's public universities.

You can read more about the details of the lawsuit on the front page of this issue.

State employees are outraged by Big Labor's cynical scheme. Hundreds, if not thousands, have called the Foundation for help, and more are calling every day.

With your continued support, we must put an end to these illegal money grabs.

This fight is heating up. I hope you'll stand with me in the dangerous days ahead.

Sincerely,
Reed Larson
