\nThis entry<\/a> from the Philadelphia Inquirer<\/i> alludes to the reality of what Big Labor seems to be offering these days — help us or go bust.\u00a0 Although most of the article focuses on a failed attempt to unionize security guards, the author also describes the union’s hostile relationship with Aramark, a food services vendor:\n<\/p>\n

\n\t"In 2005, Aramark entered into a neutrality agreement with SEIU and
\n\tUniteHere, another union, Aramark spokeswoman Kristine Grow said.\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\tAramark, which provides food service at colleges, ballparks, companies
\n\tand schools, would remain neutral in union-organizing drives, if their
\n\tclients agreed.\n\t<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\n\tIn 2006, Aramark decided to terminate the neutrality agreement, which
\n\texpired last summer. Since then, SEIU has applied hard pressure to the company."\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nAramark’s experience highlights the dark underbelly of the SEIU’s "corporate campaign"<\/a> strategy. Having withdrawn from this so-called neutrality agreement<\/a> designed to force unwilling workers into union ranks, Aramark found itself again targeted by a series of PR broadsides, including an SEIU-sponsored website<\/a> where users anonymously post unverified attacks on Aramark’s performance and services.\n<\/p>\n
