But one particular Midwestern state just keeps inching its way back into the limelight \u2013 and not in a good way: <a href=\"\/blog\/free-tagging\/michigan \" title=\"Michigan\" target=\"_blank\">Michigan<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Workers in this struggling, economically-depressed state have been forced to pay tribute to a union in order to get or keep a job for years.
