Dear Sirs:
I am employed by Kelloggs in Pennsylvania. Effective immediately, I resign from membership in the Bakery, Confectionary, Tobacco Workers & Grain Millers International Union and all of its affiliated entities, including Local 374G. Since there is no current collective bargaining agreement in effect, I revoke any dues check off agreement I may have signed. You are not authorized to take any dues from me during this contract hiatus period.
As a nonmember, I object to supporting the political and ideological causes of the BCTGM and its affiliates, under CWA vs. Beck. If you ever get a contract with a compulsory dues clause, please reduce any dues I am required to pay and provide me with audited financial disclosure for each level of the union hierarchy.
If you refuse to accept this letter as both an effective resignation and an immediately effective dues check-off revocation, I ask that you promptly inform me, in writing, of exactly what steps I must take to effectuate my resignation and revocation of the dues check-off authorization. More specifically, if you contend that I must meet a “window period” in order to revoke my dues check-off authorization, I ask that you promptly send me a copy of the actual dues deduction authorization form that I signed, and also tell me specifically what “window period” dates I must meet in order to revoke the dues check-off authorization.
Sincerely,
