Union Monopoly

In any state where the right to work is not protected, unions will FORCE all employees in a "union shop" to join, if only by threatening to strike if the union hires non-union workers. The bad laws in those states give unions what amounts to monopoly power.

The worst part is that unions are bad for workers. It's already widely understood that they're bad for employers, consumers, and society at large...but, in fact, workers are better off not being trapped as a cog in a union monopoly, too.

Check out http://butnowyouknow.wordpress.com/2009/09/07/why-workers-dislike-unions... for more on how harmful unions are, for workers.

That's why most people will NOT join a union, if free to choose.
