Response to This is a Great Idea
I do not work for a union, never have and never will. I have worked in companies where there was union representation. This much I can say for sure - unions were necessary at one time in our history. They are no longer relevant and useful. The unions do not promote efficiency and ultimately drag a company down into bancruptcy or force them to move overseas. When an uneducated employee can make as much or more than engineers, financial people etc. it shows how out of balance that kind of system is. I talked to OEM manufacturing companies in Right to work states like Alabama. There non union employees are paid better, share in company profits etc so they have an incentive to be more productive making the company more profitable and thus increasing their own wealth. Unions only goal is to keep themselves strong and punish business. All you have to do is look at the statistics of thousands of companies. Their latest push for card check is to try an re-invigorate their dwindling ranks (and coffers).
