What is it exactly that

What is it exactly that unions do for taxi drivers in Las Vegas, besides collecting union dues? The concept of having a union protecting taxi drivers in Las Vegas sounds good, but it doesn't seem to me that union taxi drivers in Las Vegas get their money's worth.
