Construction Costs will go through the roof

The othet part of the equation many are missing is that the manufacturers of equipment such as HVAC, doors, generators etc will have to unioninize as well. If they do not the union workers on teh job site can refuse to install the product. If a product ships to teh job site which is technologically advanced the union can refuse to install it and claim "work preservation rights" etc. This is the same business model the car industry was forced into - paying $60.00 and hour to an idiot with a High school education to screw in screws all day.....

There was a public works project in MASS where waterless urinals were installed. The pipefitters were paid to run water lines to these toilets and then cap them off for an additional $500K + in labor (LOL) - work preservation rights were claimed - what a fricken joke!!The employees don't work for the company they work for the union. High tech would never be innovative if it was unionized. BTW, it is illegal for the employees of congress to unionize as nothing could get done.

The way the union laws are written and all teh Green energy savings intiatives being proposed will not work as the more efficient products also cut down on installation labor of the products by various trades.

The only option a factory may have is to hire several union tradesmen to employee at the factory. these employees then only would work on their speciality - electician- electrical, plumber - plumbing etc. It is a joke!!

Wait unitl Wal mart, target and others become union and consumers pricing is increased by 300% or more -- This is all craziness!!!!!!!!!!!!!
